 In
August, Peggi returned to her hometown of
Lumberton, North Carolina to receive the keys to the city
by Lumberton Mayor Raymond Pennington (read
the newspaper article).
He also named August 9th as "Peggi Blu Appreciation
Day". Peggi then performed
on the 10th a special Homecoming Concert that featured
many local singers, groups, and choirs. It was an amazing
week, and helped raise money to build a swimming pool for
underprivileged children. |
